Meet Kenedy Rae – Colorado Adventure Photographer & Storyteller

Artistic self-portrait of a person covered in neon glow-in-the-dark paint, standing in front of a purple backdrop under black light. Short purple hair partially covers the face, and the person’s right hand holds their left shoulder. The lips are parted, and the head is tilted upwards while looking directly at the camera, showcasing a moody and dramatic vibe.

Capturing the Moments That Are Gone Too Soon

Hi there! I’m Kenedy Rae, the girl behind the lens at KRX Media. I am a photographer, adventure-seeker, and lover of all things fast and free. If you’ve ever wondered who’s behind the camera, let me tell you my story.

I was born and raised in Ohio, but these days I’m a Colorado-based photographer specializing in adventure photography, motorsports photography, concert photography, and candid lifestyle photography. Whether I’m photographing dirt bikes kicking up dust, the raw energy of a concert, or the golden light hitting your face in a timeless family portrait, my goal is always the same: to capture the fleeting moments that would otherwise be gone too soon.

Photography isn’t just a job for me. It’s my passion, my adventure, and my way of holding on to the moments that pass too quickly.

How My Love for Photography Began

Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I picked up my first camera over 15 years ago, and I’ve never looked back. But it wasn’t ever just about taking pretty pictures. It was about freezing time.

Life moves fast. Moments slip away before we realize how much we’ll miss them and photography is my way of holding on to them, of making sure the little things don’t disappear forever.

One of my biggest inspirations is my grandfather—his love for capturing the world around him showed me that photography is more than just images. It’s storytelling. It wasn’t just about taking pictures; it was about preserving time. If you want to read more about how he inspired me, check out my blog post where I dive into the inspiration part of my photography journey.

Fast forward a decade, and here I am—living in Colorado, where every sunset over the mountains reminds me why I do what I do. I’ve gone from capturing small moments with family to photographing dirt bikes flying through the air in a professional race series, young families welcoming their first born child, and concerts filled with thousands of fans singing in unison.

Things I Love (Besides My Camera!)

When I’m not shooting, you’ll probably find me:
Riding my motorcycle through the mountains.
Exploring the outdoors: I’m happiest when I’m outside, whether it’s hiking, camping, dirt biking, or just soaking in the view.
At a concert: Live music is one of my favorite ways to experience life.
On a dirt bike: Adrenaline, speed, and adventure? Sign me up.
Hanging out with my dog, Remy: He’s my adventure buddy, my best friend, and my most patient (or maybe just the most bribed) photography model.

Why I Love What I Do

I believe in capturing the in-between—the raw, real, emotional, fleeting pieces of life.

Photography isn’t just about pretty pictures for me. It’s about preserving the moments that matter; the ones that happen too fast, the ones you wish you could hold onto just a little longer.

Some of my favorite shots are the ones that tell a story:
– The joy of a dirt bike rider mid-air, caught in that fraction of a second when time seems to stop, the world moving so fast yet so still.
– A singer on stage, their voice roaring with emotion, while the crowd becomes just a blur—only the power of their performance and passion remain.
– A quiet golden-hour portrait where everything slows down, and the soft light wraps around you, making the world feel calm, peaceful, and full of possibility.
– A laugh shared between friends, so genuine and full of life, a moment unnoticed by others but captured forever in a frame.
– A couple’s special glance that speaks volumes, a quiet moment between them, where words aren’t needed to show their love.
– The warmth of a newborn’s tiny fingers grasping your hand, a pure, innocent connection that tugs at the heartstrings.
A family together in their element, playing, laughing, and just being with each other—capturing not just a photo, but their bond, their love.

These are the moments that make life beautiful, and I feel lucky to capture them.

My Photography Style – What I Specialize In

I specialize in adventure, motorsports, and storytelling photography. If it’s fast, exciting, or filled with raw emotion, you can bet I’ll have my camera ready.

Adventure Photography in Colorado (and Beyond)

I’m all about exploring the outdoors and capturing the beauty of nature. Whether it’s a hiking session in the mountains, hitting jumps on a dirt bike, a motorcycle road trip, carving through fresh snow on a snowboarding adventure, scaling rock faces, or golden-hour portraits in the wild, I love creating images that feel alive and full of adventure.

Motorsports Photography – Dirt Bikes, Motorcycles, & Cars

Few things excite me more than photographing motorsports. There’s something about the speed, the dust, and the raw power of a dirt bike or motorcycle that makes for incredible photography. I ride motorcycles myself, so I know exactly how to capture the adrenaline and motion of the ride. I photograph race events, portraits, wheelie photos, carving through the canyons, bike pics, car pics, hitting jumps on track, group rides, and more.

Concert & Live Music Photography

Concerts are pure energy, and I thrive on capturing the atmosphere, the emotions, and the moments that fans will remember forever. From small intimate show or a massive stadium performance, my goal is to freeze those electrifying moments in time.

Lifestyle & Portrait Photography

Every stage of life deserves to be captured, whether it’s a family laughing together, a senior celebrating graduation, a couple in love, or a newborn’s first days. I specialize in candid, natural photography that tells your story—capturing real emotions, genuine connections, and the little moments you’ll want to remember forever.

Whether you’re looking for family portraits, lifestyle sessions, engagement or couples photography, newborn shoots, senior portraits, headshots, or even wedding photography, I create images that feel authentic and timeless. My approach is relaxed and natural, making sure every session is a fun, comfortable experience where your personality shines through.

  1. Sensational. 🙂‍↕️ It’s great to read about a photographer who loves nothing more than life and wanting to take snapshots and preserve memories, or even just remember the earth for how it is and was. Photography is powerful, and it’s always best to hire someone who understand that and can capture those feelings well. Keep preserving, never stop.

I’m still waiting for the Motorcycle/Dirt bike maintenance blog though. 🤔
