Ten Lies in Obama’s State of the Union
Ten Lies in Obama’s State of the Union: President Barack Obama promises his final State of the Union talk would be short. One thing it was not accurate and honest. Here are the Obama’s top 10 lies, in sequential order.
“We have done all this while cutting our deficits by almost three-quarters.”
This is completely fiction. Obama have doubled the national debt, and it’s not because he cut the deficit. Relatively, he spent astounding amounts of money in his 1st months in workplace which he allocates, dishonestly, to the earlier fiscal year. He spent more gradually from that spending, but only in protest, after Republicans took the House in 2010.
“Anyone asserting that America’s financial system is in decline is publicizing fiction.”
With that statement, Obama took an attempt at his likely Democratic successors, as well as his Republican critics. But the fact is that in spite of the slow revival, slowest since World War 2, labor force participation is the lowest it has been in decades. Salaries are stagnant, household earnings still have not recovered from the recession, and young people see a miserable future.
“That’s what the inexpensive Care Act is all regarding. It is about filling the space in employer based care so that when we lose a job, or go back to school, or establish that new business, we will still have coverage.”
That is a mean joke, given that Obama care canceled insurance coverage for millions of Americans who did not change jobs. It also raised deductibles and premiums so elevated that many insurance companies are parting the Obama exchanges entirely.
“Food Stamp recipients did not cause the financial disaster; irresponsibility on Wall Street did.”
Actually, food stamp recipients, figuratively speaking, were indirectly liable as well as Wall Street crook. Obama put downs the government’s role, below the Community Reinvestment Act, in forcing mortgages on people who could not pay for them, and in backing the derivatives based on those mortgages that eventually burst the whole fizz.
“We have protected an open internet…”
Obama’s strategy of Net Neutrality has twisted Internet service providers into public utilities under an early regulatory system. The result has been a sharp turn down in broadband investment and a much less free and open system. In addition, the Obama management is rushing to alter control of ICANN to the international community, which will make sure that the Internet is less free, and subject to global censorship.
“7 years ago, we made the single major investment in clean energy in our history. Here are the outcomes.”
It is pathetic that Obama would claim his failed clean energy spending–think Solyndr, led to the fracking-fed energy boom we have take pleasure in for the past several years, particularly when the administration did all it could to stop oil and gas growth. He also nixed the Keystone pipeline and initiated a plan to slaughter coal plants.
“No country dares to attack us or our associates because they know that’s the path to mess up.”
Of all the lies in Obama’s talking, this was unquestionably the worst, coming hours after Iran seized 2 U.S. Navy boats and 10 sailors. Obama did not even talk about those Americans in captivity at any point in his communication, declining the chance to restore confidence the nation that they would come home securely. It is an error that will define this address in history.
“As someone who starts every day with an intelligence briefing, I know this is a unsafe time.”
Obama does not be present at most of his daily intelligence briefings, preferring in its place to read intelligence reports. So he claims, on his iPad, a stark difference to the attentive approach of his ancestor. Late last year, even as Obama stated that there was little threat from attack, major Islamic terrorists carried out cruel attacks in Paris and San Bernardino.
“We are training, arming, and supporting forces that are steadily reclaiming territory in Iraq and Syria.”
The Obama administration’s effort to train and arm Syrian rebels has been a failure. Too lately, the administration has facilitated Kurdish peshmergaforces, and the Iraqi military has made growth lately, but Obama has not made a stern effort to defeat the Islamic State, and is even giving up on government change in Syria.
“50 years of isolating Cuba has unsuccessful to encourage democracy, setting us back in Latin America.”
And a year of conciliation has not encouraged democracy, either. The Castros remain firmly in power, and we are not helping the conflict. Worse, the Cuban regime continues to capture 1000’s of political dissidents, to comfort up to enemies like Iran and North Korea, and to carry out provoking acts such as stealing a U.S. missile.
