Felline continues one more year in the Trek-Segafredo

The Italian rider Fabio Felline, 26, and the American team Trek-Segafredo, which Alberto Contador will join in January 2017, have renewed their commitment two more season, until the end of 2017.

Felline has become a strong and unclassifiable corridor, with a seemingly ample room for improvement. This year has dazzled in the Tour of Spain getting the penultimate day in the mountains of Aitana, the green jersey for the points classification.

“Since 2014 has been developed on the computer into a complete rider, as demonstrated beyond doubt the green jersey of the Tour , the best example of its wide range of facets,”they say in the Trek-Segafredo.

And in the statement of his team, Felline is satisfied: “I am very happy to continue my career in the team, where I found a special group of colleagues and peers, which is very important for me.”

“If you get along with people and you’re okay with peers and managers, then you feel calmer to develop your work without problems,”adds Felline.

The Italian recalled that in this season, “the strangest seasons with the fall in the Amstel Gold Race” ,the equiop “not forget” him.”This human aspect of our team is a very important point. They treat me like a person, not just as a runner and that is for me an important incentive to give everything.”

The staff review of 2016 is as follows: “When the season started, my goal was to step forward as a runner . Of course, my development and growth this year was nipped in the bud by the accident in April, after which I was two months section of the bicycle. on the other hand, when I look back, since my return to Poland I have been before approximately 50% of racing World Tour level. therefore, I have to be happy. Although there has not been a full season, I want to continue moving in this direction.”

The team statement concludes with the words of the Italian maganer Luca Guercilena: “Fabio has been very professional from the beginning, although I have to admit I’m very proud of his behavior after his horrific fall in the Amstel Gold Race this year is center. fully in their recovery and worked hard to get back as soon as possible. it was a long hard road, but when he achieved second place overall in the Tour of Poland we knew that he had returned and the best possible way.”

Guercilena added his satisfaction “how he and defended his green jersey of the Tour, with ‘world class’, with positions in the top three in very different paths . So he found that he had outdone himself and surprised us all.”

Of course, Guercilena expect to see even better things in the next year that it has signed with the Trek-Felline Segafredo.
