The most common symptoms are mild swelling, burning sensation or itching and small round bumps red or itchy rashes.

You can stay in a room with air conditioning, or take a cool shower or bath to minimize stinging sensations on the skin. You can also try some home remedies that are very effective and have no side effects.

1. Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a popular treatment for prickly dermatitis due to its anti-irritant soothing, anti-inflammatory and. You will have a soothing effect on the skin by giving immediate relief of inflammation and itching caused by prickly heat.

  • Add a cup of oatmeal finely ground powder into a tub filled with cold water. Stir well until the water turns a milky color.
  • Soak in this bath for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Dry your body with a soft towel.
  • Do this twice a day for a week to get relief.

2. Cold Treatment

The use of a cold compress on the affected area provide immediate relief of inflammation, swelling and itching sensations.

  • Alternatively, you can mix two tablespoons each of sandalwood powder and coriander powder with enough rose water to make a thick paste. Spread the paste on the affected area and let it dry by itself. Rinse with cold water and dry the skin. Repeat twice a day for a week.
  • You can also sprinkle sandalwood powder and powder on the affected areas after taking a shower.

4. Sodium Bicarbonate

  • Add a teaspoon of baking soda in a cup of cold water.

  • You can also create a paste from 15 to 20 crushed neem leaves mixed with one-half cup chickpea flour (also known as besan) and a little water. Spread over the affected area, leave on for 15 minutes and then rinse with cold water. Use daily for a few days or a week.

  • Draws fresh leaf gel of aloe Vera.

  • Add a little water for two or three tablespoons of chickpea flour to make a paste.

  • Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, then wash with cold water.

9. Raw mangos

  • Boil two raw mangoes thoroughly washed in two cups of water until tender.
  • When cool, remove the handle from the water and squeeze the pulp.
  • Add the pulp in water cooled, along with rock salt and sugar to taste.

10. Cucumbers

  • You cut a cucumber into thin slices. Soak for a few minutes in a bowl of cold water mixed with two tablespoons of lemon juice. Place the cucumber slices soaked in the affected areas for 10 minutes. Do this three times a day for a week.
