Logan will be on DVD and Blu-Ray this Tuesday and Hugh Jackman, while promoting the release on home video, revealed some new details regarding the film. For example, he would have absolutely worn the Wolverine costume on screen, although it did not happen. He also wanted to show how Logan‘s brother came to beat him on his birthday, but director James Mangold did not consider it right for the film (via Collider).
“There were a couple things I could not figure out how to do. The fans always say: ‘When are we going to see you in the blue and yellow spandex? We tried a bit in The Wolverine, it did not happen, in that plane at the end opens a box and there is the suit, I think it ended up being cut. So the suit was one thing, but we just did not know how to do it, so if anyone can fix it, go for it. ”
“The other idea I always loved was the idea of the comics that every year on Logan’s birthday, his brother comes and hits him. I just thought it was a very funny idea was very in harmony with those characters. His birthday gift was just a beating and that’s the only time he sees it. I kept saying, ‘Jim, can we put that in?’ And he said, ‘Hey, this is not that movie.’ ”
Jackman continued to report information regarding an appearance of Sabretooth. The actor discussed how he and Mangold talked about the possibility that Liev Schreiber was in the movie, but Jackman admitted that “different circumstances” happened and changed the trajectory.
