Honda completes its range of 500 cm³ in Brazil
Japan begins sales of CBR 500 R in the country for R $ 29,000
The Honda announced on Friday (16) the beginning of the new sales CBR 500R in Brazil for R $ 29,000. The new complete family bikes 500 cm³ of the brand, now also made by CB 500 F (R $ 26,000 and R $ 28,000 with ABS) andCB 500X (R $ 29,900).
Now with headlight and taillights with LED lighting, CBR 500 R also won visual far more aggressive with the adoption of new fairings. Honda also points out that the brake lever has been redesigned to provide better grip.
Also to facilitate the piloting, the panel becomes fully digital and includes speedometer, tachometer by bar chart, clock, odometer (total and partial), fuel consumption (instantaneous and average) and engine diagnostic indicators.
As in crossover variants / trail CB 500 X and naked CB 500 F, CB 500 R has Chassis Diamond frame made from steel tubes, offering “good elasticity, making it easy to pilot,” announces the Honda. The front suspension features adjustable telescopic fork, which improves its maneuverability, the same way as the rear suspension (Pro-Link) won new setting.
The bicilíndrico engine of 471 cc four-stroke delivers 50.4 bhp at 8,500 rpm and maximum torque of 4.55 Nm at 7,000 rpm working together with the shifting 6-speed. As in the two other representatives of the range 500, CB 500 R also has a 16.7-gallon tank, so a 1 liter more than the previous generation. The tank lid also redesigned and now has more sporty format.
The new CB 500R has 3 year warranty with unlimited mileage and the brand also offers Honda Assistance 24 h assistance service throughout the term of the warranty covering not only Brazil and the other Mercosur countries. The CB 500 R reaches the only version in stores with ABS and will be offered in black with orange accents or fairing only red.
