Ferrari launches its first model with 4 seats turbo engine

Ferrari announces its emphasis on the Paris Motor Show, the GTC 4 Lusso T

The Italian Ferrari decided to take the plunge into the era of downsizing and announced a major news on Thursday (22). The manufacturer will present to the public in October the new GTC 4 Lusso T, the first model with up to 4 people brand to feature turbo engine in the history of the brand.

The block is the familiar 3.9 turbo V8, which also won in its category in the Best Motor World award. It delivers 610 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and maximum torque is 77.5 Nm between 3,000 and 5,250 rpm. According to Ferrari, the propellant “offers a rich sound in acceleration, rapid response in start-ups even from lower revs and good autonomy.” With a system called Variable Boost Management (variable pulse management) working in conjunction with the electronic throttle system, Ferrari promises that the driver does not feel any effect of turbo lag in the conduct of sports, referring to the “hole” between the throttle requests and engine response noted at the beginning of the era of turbo engines.

The GTC4 Lusso T account only with rear-wheel drive, but brings one of the highlights of the 4WS, resource that promotes a slight steering of the rear wheels in the same direction as the front wheels, helping the car’s stability and improving the dynamic response. The 4WS works integrated with Side Slip Control, which assists in the input and output curves, optimizing the car’s handling.

On the outside there is no novelty in GTC4 Lusso, which keeps the silhouette “shooting brake coupe”, a mix between station wagon with the pronounced roof fall of the traditional sports. The model also includes the panel in the format “dual cockpit” and media center with a generous screen 10.25″ touch.

According to Ferrari, model 4.92 m long and 1.98 m wide is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds and reaches over 320 km / h speed limit.
