Introducing the Chevrolet Enjoy, an 8-seater minivan that has General Motors in the Indian market , which has crashed in the latest shock tests of the Global NCAP body , figuratively and literally. In the first results of 2017 vehicle safety in India, has taken, nothing more, and nothing less than a score of zero stars in the level of safety of the driver.
The Chevrolet Enjoy, sold without airbags in its basic version , has a “poor structural performance,” since the the damage to the driver at 64 km / h would have been “unacceptably high.” It is not the first time that General Motors launches other models with zero stars : in 2016 the Chevrolet Beat, known in the Mexican market as Spark Classic, took a zero in the tests of Latin NCAP, as well as the Aveo, the Agile And the Sail.
In a frontal impact at 64 km / h the driver and the passenger would have been seriously injured, while the child protection level did get a star (two, to be exact). Here is another example of how the same firm manufactures differently according to its target customers , as sadly we could see with the Nissan Tsuru (Mexico) and its equivalent in the US market, the Nissan Versa.
