This is the Caterham project that should have come with Alpine
Five years ago, Caterham and Renault decided to partner to develop two sports cars, and in the second case, the bolide would bring back the Alpine brand.
But the two companies ended up disagreeing about the future of the two cars and Renault went out of business, after acquiring own Caterham. With control over the English manufacturer, the French brand started up alone in the Alpine project.
However, now comes images of the project that would be the Caterham, developed in parallel with the AS1 Alpine. He was called C120 and was designed by Mark Przeslawski, design chief of Caterham.
There is no technical data about the Caterham C120, but is believed to have Renault engine. As you know, the English brand has developed engineering, while other aspects of style were drawn up by the French.
The look, the Caterham C120 would in a compact coupe engine 1.2 or 1.6 Turbo and, who knows, with transmission and rear wheel drive. Unfortunately, the project did not pass the initial stages, but at least can be contemplated now.
